Clove oil has a significant antibacterial effect and it is often used as a disinfectant reagent in dentistry. Clove oil has antiviral effect, especially against herpes virus (plaque forming agent) that prevents the growth of this virus.

Menthol in peppermint oil stimulates the end of cold sensory nerve and creates a cold feeling and local anesthesia. Also menthol with its sedative properties helps to relieve pain.

To relieve tooth pain, put a small amount of gel exactly into the empty cavity of rotten tooth. In less than one minute the pain will disappear.

After 20 minutes, repeat usage. If necessary, apply in 2-hour intervals.

Be cautious in concomitant use of anticoagulants.

No side effects or drug interactions have been reported for Dentogan gel.

There is the possibility of sensitivity and gum irritation of the adjuvant compounds in the formulation especially in patients with hypersensitivity to peppermint essential oil.

There is 20g of clove oil in each 100g of the gel with the scientific name Caryophyllus aromaticus L. and peppermint oil. Each gram of product has been standardized based on 150-210 mg of eugenol.
